Meet Gregory Penner Penner PhotoGregory Penner is the son-in-law of current Walmart board chair Rob Walton. At Walmart’s 2014 shareholders’ meeting, Penner became “heir apparent to the chairman role” when he was named vice chairman. Married to Carrie Walton Penner, Gregory spends his time investing the Walton’s money in Silicon Valley ventures. Penner is a staunch supporter of charter and voucher schools programs.
